Wycombe, and Lancing has a roof plus a bar.
I used to go to some of the reserve matches at the Goldstone too, around 1981-84,with my mates from school and we used to sit in the south stand and try to create some sort of an atmosphere .Was all very surreal though with just a handful of people rattling round that old ground,we used to use it as an excuse to stroll around the pitch and the empty terraces at half time!!.
I remember you used to get an A4 sheet of paper as you went in with the team names, players etc poorly typed on to it.
Also remember one game, think it was against Bournemouth reserves, where a bournemouth? player got his leg broken and you could hear the crack echo around the empty ground, made me feel physically sick.
Thanks. Any team news or anything? Will Tano be playing again?
Do I know you?
Did Perry Digweed ever tell you to f*** off home and do your homework?
