Having just seen the footage of his racist outburst, it goes to show that you can be a **** and a hero.

Saw this as well. He is what he is, a product of his environment and upbringing. The media are already on it with the 'vile racist' label.
Whatever his opinions are, he saved lives and did what very few of us would, put his life on the line for others.

Absolute hero in what he did at that moment but equally a vile racist, can't really hold him in high esteem for too long which is a huge shame because he was such a magnificent and courageous human being at that moment
