RESIGN now DICK.

Cant help but think this problem is all down to Dick Knight, afterall it was him who sacked Dean Wilkings and brought this WANKER back to the club.

Resign now and accept you've f***ed this season up.:rant:

Why should he resign, it would have been a board decision about Wilkins, not Knight on his own, similar to what happened with McGhee before when the board decided it was time for him to leave.

Dick Knight and the board have done and still do put alot of their time, effort and money into keeping this club afloat and competative in the league while trying to get the new ground built,

They could have easily said that there was no money for (loan) signings this season, in a bid to save some cash, but by making some available for loan signing wages, they are trying to look after the fans too - remeber, we run at a loss all the time we are at Withdean

Some people are just never satisfied, the board have performed miracles to bring some success to this club in rececnt years, but we have limited resources, which haven't been helped by the long planning process for the ground - who would have though we'd have needed so many public enquiries, all of which can't have been budgeted for in the original aims or financial plans for the team or club on its return to Brighton.

Of course he has to justify it to us - we are paying the money to watch this shit. If you are right we shouldn't bother going then and see what happens?

And this sums it up in one - i pay to go and watch a football match so i should be privy to all the information about that club, know exact details of all their finances and were all future funding is coming from, find out a why to each and every decision that has been made, and so on.

I was under the impression that people who pay to watch football did so to
- support the team
- (hopefully) be entertained

Not to become a small scale investor / director of the club, who deserves their say on any decision making, and demands full explanations to everything simply because they don't trust the board to make the right decisions for the club.

I think that the years of protests at Archer and co, as well as our campaigns for a new ground have left some people feeling that they should have more of a say as they feel that either they should be rewarded for their efforts (which we will be when the stadium finally opens) and the boundry between club and fan has become blurred and people have forgotten how to relax and just enjoy it because they are too emotionally involved with the club as a result of the campaigns.

It is your choice if you go or not, no one forces anyone to attend - clearly it appears you have forgotten why people used to go to matches, before our woes began.

Adams now looks as if he is heading for the exit, not because of the results but for the fact that supporters are showing dis-satisfaction with Knight.
The chairman is very predictable when this situation arises he turns attention away from himself by sacking the manager who he has handicapped by not providing the necessary cash to build a decent side.
Why does Knight remain as chairman when he does not have the finances to assist the club, appointing another manager will not improve the situation.

Tell us then who is knocking on the door of the boardroom, asking to become chairman and wanting to invest millions in a still homeless third division football club.

Any idea who it might be?

No? Thought not.

I think idiots like you might one day realise that Dick Knight is still chairman because there is NOBODY ELSE interested in this football club. Is that simple enough for you to understand? I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there are no millionaires lining up to take control of this football club. You are stuck with DK for a while.

You're quite right he doesn't HAVE to justify anything, but it would make business sense if he did. If all my customers were walking out of the door because my product was crap, but there were mitigating circumstances why my product was crap I would want to tell them. Unless of course there is no mitigating circumstances in which case I would keep Dick tight shut and pray to the god in the sky I guess. We finished 7th last season. Why change it unless there was another reason. It just doesn't make any sense other than the fact DK has always trusted Admas like a son and he didn't have that relationship with Dean Wilkins.

Do you honestly think it would make a blind bit of difference to the attendance if he did reveal confidential information about why Wendy was sacked?

The sacking of Wilkins was bizarre, but football is a strange business, and one can only presume that both sides signed confidentiality clauses.

As for this season, we're shit for a combination of new signings who have failed to inspire (Hawkins, McLeod, Livermore, Virgo), existing players who have gone backwards (Whing, Elphick, Cox, Robinson), and the manager should take the majority of the responsibility for that, but the players too have to look at themselves.

Everybody thought we would be at worst a top half team this season, and we're not.

Screeching tantrums from the usual suspects calling for DK and/or MA's head without any thought through alternatives (and I'm not including you in this pond life) are just that, tantrums.

I've been watching the Albion for over 30 years, and the majority of the time we have been toilet. I would love to support them for another 30 years, but don't expect things to improve significantly, Falmer or not.

FFS! There really are some children on this board!
Thank god it's not representive of the majority of Albion fans!

Firstly, who is the saviour who is going to invest money and take over?
You may want DK out but who has shown any interest in doing this?

DC may have the money BUT has repeated many a time that he has no
interest in doing this, I think he has enough problems at the moment.

Secondly, it was DK that delivered us from the nightmare that was
archole and bullshitti, something he didn't really want to do but did
because he is a passionate fan. How many of us could have done that?

You may not like him, or even his methods but at the moment you have
absolutely no choice, so for the clubs sake support him.

Childish rants about "sack the chairman" are pathetic because, at the
moment, there is nobody else.

I think it's right that he knows that we are not best pleased at the
moment but I also think a lot of respect should be given to the person
who is delivering Falmer!

There isn't a single poster on this board who has the faintest clue why Dean was sacked and who sacked him and every post on this subject is an irrelevance.

Try looking forwards instead of backwards.

If things don't improve then MA will go, of his own accord or the board's, it won't matter. If Dick then re-employs ANYONE I will be mightily pissed-off.

I do rather dis-like dick knight and this is the main reason i don't watch the albion anymore:glare:

the man is clueless and well out of touch, need a new man with fresh idea's asap and lets be honest that shouldn't be to hard to find as this isn't about money as knight doesn't have much.

He wouldn't have to "re-employ", as he's still paying another manager.

All he'd have to do, is offer him a raise and the seat back, with his name on it.

DK is not likely to resign/leave/be sacked now is he....the diggers are moving in to Falmer, hes not likely to leave before he sees the end result of 8 years hard work to get the stadium.
He does however need to have a serious look at Adams and our coaching team and admit hes made a mistake and if we havnt turned it around by the new year make some changes before its too late!!!
