Cant help but think this problem is all down to Dick Knight, afterall it was him who sacked Dean Wilkings and brought this WANKER back to the club.

Resign now and accept you've f***ed this season up.:rant:

I would rather see Knight admit he F*cked up and apologies to Wilkins by giving him a three year deal and saying i won't keep poking my nose in things i don't understand in the future.

Adams shouldn't be taking all the shit as i am sure Dick made him feel like the saviour to get him back in the fold as he always manages to over hype everything he says (apart from the position we are in since he bought Mickey back).

The Problem is with Dick he has got far to comfy in that Chairman's role he wants shaking up, turning up side down and bring back down to earth and start to listen to the fans again.

The last time he listened to the 'fans' he sacked McGhee, which is now being seen for the knee jerk populist mistake that it actually was at the time.

Knight out. Looking tired, out of touch with the fans (other than the "inner circle" who are so far up his arse).

Thanks for the fairy lights though, that's what we came to Withdean to see. Why would you want a good team when you can have fairy lights!!

I kind of remember the scenario not being to similar to now. The mistake made was not the removal of McGhee but the sacking of Wilkins, if it is not broken, do not fix it!

As far as I can gather from the Mark McGhee incident, the board vote to keep managers, Dick Knight fires them. (IIRC, in the summer when the fans wanted McGhee gone the board got together and voted and decided to keep him. In the October when fans wanted McGhee (and Knight) gone, it was Knight who made the decision to fire him. OR at least, that's what Knight said when on the radio, and tv, and in the press. He listened to the fans and fired McGhee.)

Apparantly our great leader is going to appear on the 3rd Jan phone in, I wonder what bullshit he will come out with this time :angry::angry:

Some shit about how we will sign 5 new players, including household names from Premiership teams, and we will clear out the dead wood. Come Jan 31st none of its happened but in his mind hes got away with it for another year.

Knee jerk populist mistake? The fans were calling for McGhee to go as early as january. The board had a meeting i the summer and decided to keep him. It was only in october, when the fans also called for knight to go, that knight finally listened to the fans. Hardly knee jerk.

The fans were calling for McGhee to go because the team wasn't getting results.

A noisy minority wanted wilkins to go because he wasn't charismatic and the football wasn't pretty enough. We were getting results and improving.

If either of those was a knee jerk reaction it was replacing Wilkins. That is the knee jerk reaction that didn't work out too well for us.

Having said that, I don't see Adams being forced out by Knight unless the fans start calling for knight to go too. Yet, there are large numbers of fans who refuse to criticise knight for his current failings because he, along with a consortium and many fan groups, helped keep this club alive in the past.

I think that he had to sack the last two managers under difficult circumstances. McGhee due to his losing the fans and I believe Wilkins for something that Wilkins did that upset the chairman and the board.
I think where Dick went wrong was trying to use the Adams appointment as the man to take us forward, which clearly he isn't. I think he should have come clean and state that there were serious differences of opinion between Wilkins and the board.
Now his statements are making it very hard to act against Adams without looking slightly foolish himself.
