Finished up 6 - 1. 3 good points came out of the game:

1. The performance of Paul Reid who showed some very good touches and that he is on his way back.
2. Doug Loft should be playing at that level regularly.
3. The performance of the Crawley Down goalkeeper who I was told is just 15 and has only been playing for them about 3 weeks. He couldnt be nb lamed for any of the goals. Probably will not progress much higher though because he is very small.

O Sullivan didnt have a lot to do but at least he got rid of the ball a lot quicker than Kuipers does.

Hart and Mayo showed that they are ok at that level but did nothing to suggest either was due for a recall to the first team.

Thats what they said about Richard Martin. He now has a contract at Manchester City!

That says a lot about our management team we let him go and Sven decides to giver him a contract. When I have seen him I thought that he was a better prospect than O Sullivan.

Like I've said a million times on this forum, in the SSC final Sullivan didnt look anything like a decent prospect as an Albion keeper, as i was standing at the worthing end so got a better view than most others.

how did the younger players do , did anyone see the match?

Brinkhurst looks very lively and was making some lovely runs forward.

It was 5-1 BG.

I was pleased to see Reid look sharp and score a goal. He's now another option for midfield.

Sullivan has come on in leaps and bounds. He was doing some good saves against the Southampton and Palace reserves recently.

I said that to one of the Crawley Down old boys and he swore that it was 6 - 1.

I thought that I must have missed a goal when I went to get a Bovril.

Like you I was pleased with Reid's performance albeit only againsta County League Side.
