Now bring on Ipswich. :clap2:

We have won the Central League and have to play off Ipswich to get the trophy.
There will be a toss up to see who gets home advantage.

Fantastic goal by Jake btw. He looked so relieved to have scored again.

I went tonight and thought it was a good game. My lad thought it was brilliant being really close to the action and all the first team players were wandering about plus Dean Wilkins and Dick Knight. Mayo had a good game until he went off injured. Jakey looked nervous until he got his goal which was a cracker.

Bournemouths captain was Aidan Sainsbury, he makes Tank look anorexic, and I can't remember when I last saw a player that tucks his shirt into his shorts.

That's just being picky. The fourth goal was a superb effort from the half way line, a one two with Fraser and than an angled shot into the far corner.
The best goal of the evening.

Saints Reserves have narrowly missed out on the Pontins Holidays Combination League Central Division title.

After leading the table for most of the season, Stewart Henderson's men have been pipped at the post by Brighton.

The Seagulls last night beat Bournemouth 4-1 in their final fixture to edge past Southampton.

It was the second time this week they had beaten the Cherries, having also won the away game 2-1 on Tuesday.

Saints lost only two league games all season but significantly one of those came at Brighton which proved decisive.

i was joking hence the :jester: at the end of the sentence - he looked absolutley distraught when he missed it though

it was surprised to see you and ned there though, was a good night, shame there was no trophy at the end.

an extra 200 on the normal gate too, had EVERY turnstyle open for the big game!

Fantastic win its great experince for the new youth players who have taken inspiration from the previous lot now establishing themselves in the first team.

Sullivan, P.Hinshelwood, Cobbs, Breach, Gargan, Pearson and Martin all get good experience and its a bonus to win leagues and challenge for cups in the process.

Anyone know how the Ipswich game works and when its played.

Don't take this as gospel, as I'm only repeating what others have said, but I believe that it is a one-off match, with home advantage decided by the toss of a coin.

It is likely to be played at the start of next season, apparently.
