I'm going to watch the Reserves at Horsham YMCA tonight in the Sussex Senior Cup. Anyone else going ?

I played for YM for over 10 years so I guess I have devided loyalties. I see Hawkins, Sullivan, McLeod and Hinsh are all playing.

I might have been interested if the game were at Lewes, and Real Madrid weren't playing tonight. But we're not, and they are, so. :lolol:

One of my old mates is playing for Horsham tonight, he moved there from Burgess Hill earlier in the season. From what I gather he is buzzing about the game, as when he played against the Albion in pre season for BH, he had quite a good game.

Look out for him, his name is Neil Watts. Very tidy little player, made over 100 apps for the Hillians

Small point - it's Horsham YMCA - NOT Horsham.

I'll look out for Watts - I've seen YM a few times this season - Brighton reserves really shouldn't have too many problems. Virgo's brother plays for YM now, but is out - I believe he has has a heart operation.

though you say it yourself.....:lolol:

Is it true Gorings Mead and HFC(Queen St?) were the two closest enclosed grounds in Britain?

It was an enjoyable detour into the backwaters of football.

Unfortunately Colin Hawkins only lasted about 15 minutes... and went off with what looked like a strain in the groinal area.

And Hinsh went off in the 2nd half with what looked like a calf strain. But either diagnosis could be wide of the mark!

It was a fairly even contest... with Kevin McLeod being the standout quality player - but he didn't actually do a lot - but did score the first with a nicely controlled finish. Dunk looked particularly solid at the back, and Kane Louis and Thomson (number 14?) looking skilful upfront.

Also good to see Tommy Fraser and Adam Virgo in the crowd... and the rather enjoyable and loud bloke behind the goal!
