Whing, Livermore, Hart, Thornhill, Jamie Smith, McLeod with Murray and Craig Davies up front.

All these players wanting to be back in the first team, should make for a competitive game and give the young players a lift. Even better for STH free entry and comfey club wembley seats given to Lancing from the FA.

Id be interested to see how Jamie Smith links up with Murray and Davies.

I thought he played quite well in his only appearance at Huddersfield, and seems to have an attacking football brain on him (which we lack in our midfield apart from Bennett)

Just seen this is a top v bottom clash, I really hope Davies has a good game I would like to see him given another chance on Saturday.

I though Mcleod also played well at Huddersfield, either one could claim a place in our midfield, I wonder why Cox is not playing.

Pea souper, you could not see the dug outs across the pitch and it got worse as the evening moved on. Wierdly it was clearer in Crab tree lane, but the fog just sat across the ground.

Shame because their was a good crowd there. They announced the next three reserve games would be free to all. Felt for the players who looked keen to impress.

Horton,

Can you see the players getting back into the first team from the reserves changing our first-team fortunes?

I can't - sorry.

Horton,

I can't - sorry.

Gary Hart only last season started setting up and banging goals in for fun in the reserves, Slade could not ignore him and he was a major part of us staying up. Kuipers also has saved penaltys and kept clean sheets to fight his way back in.

Trouble is you need a few games and the current combination format does not always produce games when players need them. I do think a lot of the players last night had something to prove. McCloud, Davies, Smith and Thornhill could all have given the manager something to mull over.
