Is that full-time?

KO was at 7pm, so yes. I didn't get home from work in time this evening.

Just got back from the game Freddie looked useless! Gatting, Fraser, Fogden and Cox all looked good. Dodd and Kerry were accomplished and Jarrett looked a class above the rest.

It looks to me that Turienzo obviously has ability but is just not adjusting to playing in England. Was at the game and it appeared to me that he still can't speak English, or if he can, not very well.

Albert Jarrett deserves a place on the bench as he is a constant threat. Thought he was excellent this evening.

Despite the goal?

Yeah. no first touch, he does a lot of running but when he meets the man he doesn't stick a leg out to actually impose himself. He's not bad in the air but doesn't look physically up to the english game - i hope im wrong though

If he keeps scoring goals in the reserves then he has to be given a chance in the first team if we have a game or two left at the season and we are already down. Its the only way we will ever know whether he is worth keeping for next season.

Hmm. Shame. Maybe he just can't be arsed, being in the reserves and all... I know that's not the attitude we want but it must be frustrating for him.

I think that is half the problem, the other half is definitely the language barrier.

Just like Molango before him aye? That fabled 'English Game'. What is that SHIT you boys keep coming out with? I mean, does Turienzo/Molango trot out the tunnel for the club and look in horror and say 'I can't BELIEVE they're asking me to play on an oblong pitch. We used to have a nice OVAL one in Switzerland/Argentina'. and having got over the pitch-shape horror, they suddenly discover it's a contact sport. Turienzo/Molango thinks: 'Fuckit, they're TACKLING me, notr having that AT ALL. Send me to Swindon/Brizzle/Aldershot. Wher's my agent/brother-in-law? It never said anything about THIS on the video'

To be fair i think hes talking more about the language barrier and issues such as the weather and the increased physicality of the english game:glare:

Turienzo didnt play that brilliantly tonight, good header for the goal though. Best player on the pitch was probably jarret, the QPR right back couldnt get close to him all night. Dodd, mayo and rents were all quality at the back and dean cox looked sharp when he came on.

Surely it's a well-known fact that there's a way of playing football that can be described as 'English'. It's much more physical, more direct and players don't get anything like the time on the ball they get elsewhere. English clubs in Europe have found out, often to their cost, that referees won't tolerate the type of tackling and physical contact that takes place over here. Therefore it also holds true that people who have never before played in England, and are used to a particular style and tempo, can take a while to settle in.

Unfortunately it doesn't usually take an entire season.
