Very clever from our resident know all. Stick to posting about craft beers. It makes you sound really cool, huh, but certainly not the rebel you would love us to think you are.

Have you ever been in the position where a young child has gone missing?

Yes, I have. I lost my 18 month old son for about 20 minutes in Marks and Spencer's whilst Christmas shopping. I know that feeling. The staff were wonderful as were people around me.
He managed to toddle out of the door whilst other people were walking through it, and two young girls found him on a traffic island in the middle of the road.
I will never forget that feeling of panic as long as I live.

So basically a 3 year old was playing up, so her Dad picked her up and took her home. And a member of the public called the police because of that. Am I the only who feels that calling the police because a three year old was being naughty is a bit odd?

Facebook is full of these stories, every week there is a story telling people someone has been seen trying to drag or coerce a child into their car or van. Invariably it is believed to be ethnic minorities and is invariably false.

Bit like the Grenfell bonfire saga, their are some sick ****s out there who like to create havoc and find it funny!

The point is, in this case no child was missing. The Dad took his naughty kid home. Imagine how stretched the police would be if someone reported this every time it happens. Madness.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised.

Well you can't be too careful. Better take the child into care, arrest the parents and prevent them from having contact ever again. Just to be on the safe side.

That happened in America. A black guy was looking after two white children aged around 11 & 9, and a woman rang the police, from the supermarket.

I presume he was shot dead?

Literally just been shared by one of my facebook friends an hour ago.

Unfortunately, Facebook shares are just shared without checking. I make myself unpopular by checking stories and giving feedback to my friends.
Only yesterday a friend shared a photo of a 90 odd year old RAF man trying to contact people of his old squadron. I noticed it was dated 2015. So I checked and he died in 2017. She admitted she hadn't checked the original date.

There's only one thing more horrific than the moment you realise your young child is not where you thought they were and you fear the worst.

And that's being out in public, somewhere like Churchill Square, when your young child starts kicking off.

Being out in public and someone elses children kicking off is worse.

it's really not - you can walk away from that.

Well, I guess you can walk away from your own, but you risk someone calling the rozzers when you return to drag them home.

Thank god the child is safe. Now let’s turn our attention to that stolen pushbike in Falkirk.

Dare I open my mouth for fear of being abused by some...

But do you not think it's a bit odd... If a child was acting up and didn't want to go home, so was picked up and marched home by their mother, no one would bat an eyelid - but because it's a guy, it's abduction... Massive waste of police time (whether made in good faith or not) - why did said person who reported it, not run and stop the 'abductor' before he got away with youngster - leaving numerous swaths of police resources including a helicopter being called out, because someone took their child home...

Also, wtf is that CCTV image...

If that had been a motorist straying 2 inches into a box junction the clarity would have been full HD...
Priorities eh?..
