i can confirm that, against all the odds, team croc will be there and adding another remf trophy to the cabinet that currently contains the six-a-side title

Hell of a birthday present that will be if you can pull off the COUP OF THE DECADE beating Gwylan's team.

Lush's team.

Sadly, I can't be there tonight as I have to be up at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning to fly to Copenhagen. But I'm sure that the rest of the Magnificent Seven will do the business - I'll be wishing you well from a distance.

A superb job from Alan. It was slick, polished and went without a hitch. A great night. I am personally very pleased Team Spielberg avoided the wooden spoon. Job done.

Gwylan who? :smokin:

Great evening and a great quiz. Massive thanks to Alan for organising.

and Magnificent Seven team members: Deano's Right Foot, Brovion, Dick Knight's Mumm, Kylies Stunt Arse and - David, who turned up looking for a team.

Top scoring. That's put me in a good mood before my flight. Gutted that I missed it but I guess I wasn't needed

Team Spielberg came 11th out of 12 with 34 points, 1 point off the bottom, saved by the music round at the end when we got 10 points. In our defence I will say there were 2 of us compared with the average team of 6, we were both badly hungover and both very tired after getting home at 3.30am Sunday morning.

I thought it was an excellent quiz. Very interesting, challenging but achievable, and diverse, which is arguably the most important thing in a quiz as a set of questions that just mirrors the host's interests is a nightmare.

This. Well done Al

Team Barbarian (Select) will be wearing our 2nd place medals with pride at our regular quiz in The Station this Thursday :lolol:

Yep - well done to TLO. It was a very broad, interesting quiz.

After the first few questions and quite a lot of "Gwylan would have known that" we hit our stride (it did co-incide with Brovion arriving to be fair) and everyone chipped in.

And an excellent raffle - with our table taking four of the winning tickets.

Excellent book by the way TLO. I am going to enjoy looking at that.

Cheers to everyone who came last night.

I got a very pleasant phone call from Dodge also thanking me for the event. It was great that Andy Rollings and Chris Cattlin (who flew in from Spain just for the quiz) could make it.

Apologies for making it a bit harder than I'd anticipated.

DKM - thanks for the comment on the book. Glad you like it; one for the bookshelf in the loo, I suspect.

Talking of the raffle, pretty unsportsmanlike behaviour from the (I think) THREE people who won twice not to give up their second ticket. Thought that was pretty tight at a CHARITY event.

what about the chap who drw his OWN ticket?
