i believe it may have something to do with the fact that his side have their last game of the season on the saturday, and i cant imagine they would be overjoyed at him flying all the way to england to take part in a charity game less than 24 hours before

he must have known this was likely to be the case though

Indeed. A suitable donation instead would be nice though.

Since when did Leon Knight care what his club thinks?

Where's his agent when you need him? Surely as a regular on here and being the agent of said player he would have put 2 and 2 together and pre warned of the clash?

Or doies he just do his communicating when tweeting during negotiations with Steve Evans?

He always knew he had a game the next day as he had asked to play only fifteen minutes for that reason.

What a ridiculous situation. There is no way a professional football club would let a player take part in a charity match a day before a game. I can't believe he, or anyone else, ever thought this was a possibility.

Apart from that, words fail me.

In Leon's defence, he made the offer the play a good few weeks ago. Presumably he assumed he'd have been sacked from his club for some breach of conduct by now?

What a cock. I didn't think for one minute he would play.

Caught up in his own hype again. I've stopped following him on twitter. He bangs on about being in the 'top 10 sports tweeters', simply because of his vitriolic verbal assault against Rushden.

Leon Knight. No, he is not alright.

I'm sure he has enough money to make a donation. He recently posted a picture of a huge stack of twenties.
