Weather-forecast is reasonably promising for this Friday - a bright though slightly chilly Spring evening, and Lewes can produce some lovely sunsets.

For the bad news - due to a long-term and more-serious-than-previously-thought injury Peter Ward sends his apologies but now cannot make this Friday's REMF game - indeed, he will not even be able to make it over. He sends his best and insists the Albion lads re-claim the cup. Ricky Marlowe and Paul Rogers will still be playing, however. Andy Rollings and Graham Moseley will be popping along to cheer the Albion lads on.

For the better news - we're delighted to announce the Piglet's Pantry will be on-site at the Dripping Pan, baking their legendary pies (including the until now fabled chilli con carne pies) for sale at the game. The pies will be £3.50 each WITH A DONATION OF A MINIMUM OF £1.00 PER PIE SOLD GOING TO REMF. Which is rather marvellous, I fancy. Pies will be limited to the number she can bake (around 200 Jo reckons) so get to them fast.

A fiver to get in, Harvey's and Piglet's Pantry pies on the terrace, and a match where Brighton fans play Palace fans at at a time when natural order is restored and we have our rightful place above them in the Football League.

Be there.

Shame Wardy can't make it but will be great to have Dodge and Ricky in the team. Maybe we should draft Gus in as a late replacement as he wanted to play last yr... ;)

Hope everyone can turn up and support the lads - all your support is gratefully received.

I think Jo should refuse to serve you on principle for that...

well one can only go by experience and at the amex, the experience is that the pies on the whole ( and I have tried 3) have all been luke warm.

If we planned it around every event in Brighton, peoples holidays, mates weddings etc... then the game would never get staged.
