Golfer wanted​

The new team, THE FAMOUS BURGESS HILL RED HATS BASEBALL TEAM, have only three players, and are looking for someone who might want to join the team. We are playing under our old baseball team motto The Red Hats: Fun to play, and easy to beat

If you are a single golfer who wants to get involved with this brilliant day out, and would like to join up with a team, we'd be pleased to hear from you.

The main criteria to be on the team is wanting to have a fun day out, so its vital to have a sense of humour. That is not to say that we don't take the golf seriously, so any golf ability would definately be a bonus.

Hi Richard,

the 4-balls will start going off at 10.30, so I advise people to get there about 10.00 for their coffee and bacon rolls or earlier if they want to have a bucket of balls on the driving range. Depending on numbers, we would expect to finish early evening. There's over 40 trophies and prizes to be presented and straight after this ceremony, we draw the raffle.

To anyone reading this who is interested in entering, it's looking very good on the numbers and could well be a full house so if you haven't yet returned your entry form, you should think about doing so fairly soon.

I think they are going to scratch. One's in hospital, one's caught up in the BA strike abroad, and they just can't fid a replacement for me
