Regardless of whether it was Hillsborough, Heysel, Bradford, the young lad at Birmingham Leeds, bloke at Tottenham tube, the Leeds lads in Istanbul or anyone else for that matter. These people left their houses to go and watch a game of football, something we do week in week out and don't give it a second thought, only to return in a wooden box!

That I can't get my head round!

RIP

Quite right.

I never give it a second thought each time I go to watch football. Turn up, pay your money/hand over your ticket, watch the game, go home. Done it hundreds, if not a thousand times.

The whole thing beggars belief.

Yes the police were awful that day and were consistently awful across the country at the time, but ultimately it is the terrible legacy of hooliganism that really killed those people, no hooligans = no need for fences, and we`d all still be watching from the terraces now. Always piss me off when I see these football factory-type documentaries on sky giving various "Crews" a microphone to give it large about how hard they are/were and utter drivel about them being soldiers of the streets etc, theyre just wankers all of `em and they have no shame.
