Flashed up on my Facebook memories this morning, for someone who has worked with bereavement and grief for 35 years, this was still one of the saddest days of my life, even now looking at my phone this morning I still ask the question, Why?
A true friend and, I don't use this word lightly, an Albion fan Legend.
Unfortunately 9 years on suicide figures still continue to rise, its still annually the biggest killer of males between 18-55.
If anyone is reading this and finds themselves in a that horrible dark place, and I've been there, PLEASE get help, arrange to see your GP, speak to a family member or a close friend, and if things are so bad and you feel you need immediate help, The Samaritans UK have a 24 hour phone line which is free to call from any phone, 116 123.
Wherever you are Roy, I hope you are happy and contented mate, free from pain, you and many others are the reason the Albion have the opportunity to travel to Old Trafford this Sunday.
Take care
