Looks already like it'll be 3 from the promoted sides + Bournemouth. Who do you think is going? I wonder if any teams above these 4 will be sucked in? Wolves, Everton, Fulham or Forest?

Luton staying up would be impressive from them. I dislike Luton (and their crap ground) but can't help admiring the squad they've built on limited funds.

I like Luton because of their ground. Liverpool didn't know what had hit them yesterday.

I think it will be the three promoted teams - but it will be a travesty if Bmuff carry on with current form but somehow survive.

Last 5 games? We lost by the odd goal to City, drew with Liverpool, had 80% possession at Goodison and drew there with a highly contentious dissallowal. Fulham skanked a draw again in a game in which we were by miles the better team. All this is going on whilst we've got a pain in the arse injury list and are trying to juggle Europa League games as well

I know all that and I almost wholeheartedly agree. But I'm still Mr 'One Game At A Time' and when I turn up to a game I expect a defeat, so anything else is a bonus. I'm not naturally a negative person – cynical, yes, but not a doom-monger – but I find it helps limit the disappointment if we DO lose!

Of course, I'm not saying we WILL go down, nor that I think the chance of it it more than one or two percent. However, I'm also wary of how ANYTHING can happen in football. Absolutely anything. And in my head, the first target at the beginning of any season – especially one where key players have been sold, the team is playing in Europe for the first time and new/young players are still playing the deZerbi way – is to avoid relegation. Life is full of examples of people getting too complacent and it's not a trap I'm keen to fall into.

I still think they'll be ok. The promoted clubs are all awful and they are decent under Dyche. Not back to European qualification standards but much better than many around them.

And, I'll be honest, I don't want them to go down anywhere near as much as I used to. Their fans were really friendly on Saturday and a knowledgable bunch and that new ground's going to be MINT (and hopefully quicker back to town). Not an away day I want to lose. I'll happily NEVER go to Luton or Burnley TBH.

They probably will be, as someone else said on here recently, they are the unflushables after all.

They're on my list though, along with Palace and Burnley.

I just don't get why Burnley were tipped by so many to stay up comfortably before the season even started.

They've got some dreadful defensive players, no creativity and strikers who are like a fish out of water (with that dick Rodriguez past his best). Vincent Kompany has no experience of managing in the Premier League and I can see him being sacked by Christmas.

I'd be very worried if I was a Burnley fan. Wonder what @dsr-burnley makes of it all?

But they've probably got more about them than all of the current bottom 4.

They are only 3 points behind us so not doing too bad….unfortunately

Their illegal spending to the tune of £100m’s gave them more match winners such Richarlison. They stayed up by the skin of their teeth and sent a club down who met the strict rules.

Unless its via a points deduction or something, none of the 'Big Six' will ever get relegated now. The gap between the biggest clubs and the rest is now a CHASM. Its a canyon. The bottom half will shift around, go down and up, but its now impossible for those six clubs to drop. None of them have been anywhere near it over the last 20 years, and the gap is only going to continue to grow.

Muff also falling for the curse of binning off a reasonable manager who had them playing, putting in a so called more glamorous name, and having it blow up in their faces.

I thought they'd be fine based off of every team that smashes the championship (nearly?) always stays up fairly comfortably. And Burnley absolutely smashed the championship so it stood to reason that they'd be fine. I didn't go into any deeper analysis than that!

The top 10 points scorers in the second tier are(and with their league position in the top tier the following season in brackets):

1 - 05/06 Reading 106 points(8th in prem)
2 - 98/9 Sunderland 105 points (7th in prem)
3 - 09/10 Newcastle 102 points (12th in prem)
4 - 13/14 Leicester 102 points (14th in prem but we all know what happened the season after!)

So with that in mind I thought Burnley would be fine. They might of course still be - there's plenty of games left to be played but they're certainly making a terrible fist of it so far.

Er, there is. There was a chance of Leicester winning the league - it was 1,000/1, as I remember.
