Wow, the bookies still have a lot of faith in us don’t they?

Interesting...
I just don't get this!

Why are we still 7/2, when it's clear we are heading down?

If I was brave, I would put a bit of cash on that.

I think things will click soon. The introduction of Tau, Moder and hopefully the young Ecuadorian midfielder I think will make a difference. Lamptey, Lallana and Welbeck to come back, Bissouma has served his ban. I think we will start picking up a few more points soon.

Is it clear? Check out the staying up tracker.

I’m not feeling safe myself right now, but with half a season to go and we’re not in the bottom 3 i wouldn’t say we were “clearly” down either.

I know we have got unexpected points against better teams in previous seasons, but the number we have dropped against the lower teams this year, means we will have to win more of these difficult games.

I don't think I've felt this worried about our PL status, since Chris Hughton's last 5 months.

It's "clear" to us as we're not thinking rationally.

Human's are very bad of working out the probability of them losing something

Most neutrals would probably say, we're in the mix, but we have a better than evens chance of staying up. This is reflected in our odds

Exactly they are neutrals, they dont have a clue abt the way we seem to find it near impossible to win a match. Fulham the only other team realistically in the mix look stronger hungrier and have some real pace and strength in their whole team.

It's nice to hear that people are positive about our chances. It gives me some hope. But can I ask what you think will happen if we continue to play like this? Do you think we will turn it round?

Both Burnley and Fulham(the teams fighting to get out of relegation third place) have two games in hand on us !!! BHA V Fulham on 26th Jan = massive game !!! Not sure Cup game on 23rd will help us much although Fulham have game same day..

If you have to be brave to take up the chance to quadruple your money in 4 months, then you're effectively saying that it's not clear. Otherwise what are you waiting for?

Just got 4/1 at Bet365 and stuck £25 on, a little bit of emotional insurance, if nothing else...

Although saying that, I would quite happily lose that £25 for the Albion to keep their Premier League status.

Because I've never bet against my team before. But it is tempting.

I know what you mean. You win both ways.

I do it every season at some point in the season when the odds are favourable. If we get relegated (and it's almost inevitable over a number of seasons), my season ticket for the Championship is paid for. Sort of like a fans' parachute payment.

Well if it's clear that we are heading down you would be foolish not to put a lot of cash on it.

i would like to think that with the players we have currently we could cobble together a team to keep us up and hopefully do a lester next season ....i am almost 100 % certain that we will stay up ........almost ....:worried:

Well, we’re all concerned aren’t we with results. But we are all quite (naturally) blinkered.

Zoom out a bit. It’s now just half way through the season. We’re not even in the bottom 3 yet. A whole half of a season to go, lots of football to play. There’s always a couple of teams who sink and get dragged into things. Always teams that put a run together at the bottom.

If we get a couple of wins the complexion changes. Check out the staying up tracker. We’re actually almost on course to stay up, which surprised me actually.

The bookies are very rarely wrong, so the fact they’ve given us the odds we have says a lot.
