Eleven odds-setters from bookies were interviewed in today's Racing Post season preview. Asked to nominate the three teams to go down, not one of them tipped us.

Was there an unanimous agreement on Leeds qualifying for the CL?

I think the realists among them reckon the Europa League this season, Champions of Europe will have to wait a season

West Ham now have Arsenal, Wolves, Leicester, Spurs, Man City and Liverpool before Fulham.

With the Noble unrest, can't see them getting too many points there.

The pressure could be immense come November....worth 50p?

No way are Villa going down If they keep Grealish. He’ll win enough points on his own.

Very interesting market now - that presumably roughly represents reality of how the league is:

Top 6 - no chance of being relegated

Wolves, Everton, Leicester - around 1% probability each

Southampton - (only club in a category of their own) around 10% chance

Palace, Leeds, Brighton, Newcastle, Burnley, Sheffield Utd, Villa, West Ham - a group of 8 from which one or two teams very likely go down

West Brom, Fulham - the most likely to drop but a decent chance (50%} one of them could survive...

Makes it very intriguing as an Albion fan - all PL games involving a bottom 11 team really matter. Make no bones we are in a scrap - and the way our fixtures fall it could look tougher/more worrying before it starts to look remotely comfortable...

Nah, they have the players to be able to beat the best teams and will accumulate enough wins throughout the season in between runs of games where they look absolutley poo. Didn't they have the best points per game in the 9 match post-lockdown period?
