I'll give you one word of advice..

DO NOT rely on First Crapital Connect. Their service is as shoddy as their rolling stock. In fact the ticket machines have actually stopped selling FCC tickets because they're so unreliable at the moment.

Whoever owns that franchise needs a kick up the backside quicksharp. I know we, as taxpayers, own the East Coast mainline franchise but I bet this one is more profitable, they plow through London for f***'s sake. Instead of pissing our money up the wall at decrepit banks and barely used railway routes how about taking over FCC and possibly giving us a RETURN on OUR investment?

Head for P13 at the Junction.

Don't drink too much.

the only time I was ever really drunk in London, was I used to work for a book publisher and we had a book launch at Midland Bank HQ opposite the Bank of England.....there was bits of crap food ( nibbles they call it) and very very good wine.

i got absolutely slaughtered after drinking about three bottles of this stuff ( I was so bored) I remember haranguing the head of Midland bank at the time over my credit card for some drunken reason.

My boss at the time was less than impressed especially as I got on the train, felt ill and locked myself in the loo all the way home being sick!!!

I wont be doing that again

I had the same sort of experience, drunk roughly 3 bottles of red wine at a close friends wake, fell asleep on the train , woke up at brighton , penniless , had to get back to haywards heath, so decided to thumb a lift, weaving all over the hard shoulder of the A23 at 2 am on a friday morning !! I got to just before the citroen garage before the old bill pulled up and asked just what i thought i was doing !! top blokes though, gave me a lift all the way back to haywards heath.

That's probs the ticket machines being shit as well. The one in Lancing has swallowed money off me, without fail, the last 4 times I've used it.

Good call

Even if I go drinking at London Bridge, I get the tube back to Victoria rather than get a FCC back to Sussex.

The problem with Southern is that 80% of the bogs don't work on the trains. If you're going to need a piss - FCC is the way to go.
