Sydney, if you'd said the history of race relations between American Jews and African Americans is long and complicated, many would've agreed with you. But "America is run by them. No doubt" is indeed a lazy, antisemitic trope. Posters have been banned for less.

Sydney, if you'd said the history of race relations between American Jews and African Americans is long and complicated, many would've agreed with you. But "America is run by them. No doubt" is indeed a lazy, antisemitic trope. Posters have been banned for less.

I’m not going to go down the judging route or name calling etc but in what way do they run America?

Do you mean as in they run financial institutions? Corporations etc?

Agreed but so was this comment a few weeks ago - a bit more subtle but based on an antisemitic trope that Jews ‘believe they are morally superior’ in reference to the ’chosen people’ trope. (I did receive a PM apology from Sydney for that so thanks Syd) ) but let’s not be selective about what is antisemitic and what isn’t - it’s not a subjective evaluation - some forms of antisemitism are a bit more subtle than others but still as harmful.

Seems to be quite a broadly used word. Some black people seem to use it as a term of endearment, “My N…” etc


Other black people I’ve seen on stand up specials etc seem to use it as an insult, “I’d never date a N…..”

Or famously, Chris Rock ;

“There’s black people and then there’s N’s”

Weirdly tends to make sense in the context.

As we are all aware, there is no context that a white person should say it.

Apparently it took Rock about a year of practice to get that bit funny, it started off sounding like plain racism but with understanding audiences and a pre-cancel culture era, he was allowed to progress it to a timeless art classic.

It's not his first rodeo. I honestly don't know why they're allowed to carry on on this forum, running around dirtying up threads left, right and centre. Surely a permanent ban for any number of things is overdue, justified and in the best interests of everyone on the entire site?
