my theory is he had genuine amnesia and forgot he was doing the scam and handed himself in. extradition or not, if you think your rubmled you either sit it out move on. you dont fly back to the UK and walk into a police station and try to bluff your way out, doesnt make any sence.

@ BensGrandad, do you really think Maxwell had the power to get a plane across the atlantic off record? and noone would have found out or spoken out since? I suspect it is more likly the number of the plane was taken down or check incorrectly.
