I’d like to see refs clamp down on the ten yard from a free kick stuff…numerous times Villa players stood one yard away …..I’d add its a ‘habit’ that Enciso has started…its not good for football imo

Seemed to be dishing out yellows on things that really weren't, and not giving yellows for other bad challenges. Just didnt seem in control of the match, more so just being bullied into decisions by players in his face or what the crowd were doing.

It was a match where he had to make so many decisions. It was niggly and a bit ugly at times. The problem for Villa was Albion were in no mood to get the towels out.

Many decisions are tight, and can be called either way. But a ref has a split second to play with. Seeing all the replays I think there was one that I thought there couldn't be made an argument for. Another ref may have given some of the decisions differently. But that's the nature of the game. There is little that is exact. Add to that how you can't expect football fans to be rational (note Ref threads when we lose to those when we win) and it's an impossible job for a load of abuse.

Team Ref, me.
Yep. There is no point mounting an internet (or terrace) campaign to sack the refs. Deluded.

But the refs shouldn't be marking their own homework.

That said, who else? A committee of the clubs for whom 'it' means the most? Top six?

Man City
Arsenal
Man United
Liverpool
Newcastle and, er
Chelsea?

Hang on a minute. I need to sort out the shirt tail I have inadvertently tucked into my underpants.....back in a mo....

He was terrible all game.
No control.

Allowed Villa players to stand over our freekicks continually.

Midway through the 2nd half he clearly decided to give one decision to them followed by the next to us.
Didn't seem to matter what had actually happened.

Just incompetent.

Very very poor. Thankfully it was a dead rubber to us or I’d be really annoyed. He’s a very poor ref that Coote and hugely influenced by a crowd.

Newcastle did exactly the same and never pulled up.

It was a competitive game with us being able to add 3 points to our total. Poor on RDZ not picking our strongest team. 3k paid good money to attend that game.

Some of those players have been playing with injuries, out on their feet - Jason Steele said as much after Man City so it’s no surprise

Precisely. The ref gave us more than them I would say.
Didn’t buy the fake injuries and blatant shithousing either

He was awful and was booking players for tackles that didn’t deserve one and missing a shitload that did.

Did he influence the outcome? No but he bought the time wasting without a single warning and added about 50% of the time he should have.

Anyway good that you and a couple of others thought he had a decent game, I didn’t

This was ridiculous and led to one of their goals. I understand the need to get the game going but it’s just another thing in the rules that seems to be ignored. See also stealing 10 yards at throw ins

All referees buy shithousing. Enciso was not innocent in that department.

Think he’s managed it well to not risk injuries - our fixture run has been terrible for a squad our size and he’s remained competitive in most games. Frustrating but needs must. 3 more points or 0 really doesn’t matter one bit in the grand scheme of things.

Possibly but I think it was more an exercise in playing with options and it backfired hence the substitutions.

Poor ref, but not the cause of our defeat, unlike Spurs
Probably not, although could argue he should have sent off Polish curtains for a clear second yellow and we may not have lost…

If we were in the final next week then yes but we aren't. Grumpy as we lost but could have won that and secondly someone stole my free t-shirt....they got hoovered up by collectors b4 game started.
