So Hoskins and CMS being injured is their own stupidity too then or bad luck?

Bad luck. Just like Palace missing their team captain for the entire season so far, having one of our best players in Jon Williams injured all season up until last month, having Garvan out for 6 weeks, Moritz out for 6 weeks, our first choice RB Joel Ward out for 2 months so far, etc.

Everyone gets injuries at some point. Ours have been pretty bad, truth be told.

You keep pointing out that we have "enjoyed massive luck this season" without actually providing any sort of argument beyond that

Palace have built up a reputation throughout this league this season as divers which is backed up by the number of dodgy penalty awards.

Are u kiddo g? The exact same will happen to you but NOT less than 5 days before our game. We had 3 big games in 7 days when u won here which helped u massively. We were dominant til fatigue kicked in 2nd half. The FA helped u there.

Then there's the sending off which although deserved, won u the game there and then. Then we had a sudden 1 wks defensive crisis and ended up without many of our best players playing and our 6th choice left back. Then there's the corner that wasn't and the horrific cheating of Glenn twathead for the pen.

We can also point to the again horrific cheating of wini saga who didn't get touched and dived to win u a pen and another point a selhurst last yr.

Basically you've had a ridiculous amount of luck which has literally handed u points vs us. And once again this game we have less rest, 1 available striker and a ref that hates us. Despite having players close to bans you surprisingly had more penalties given to you than yellow cards in the last 2 home games..

Sour grapes? Not at all. It's all factually true :)

Fatigue was probably a factor, but it wasn't the 2nd half where we started to dominate, it was the 30th minute more or less when we realised we could get something from the game. If you're not fit enough to last atleast one half at the top of your game, that is down to Poyet and Co, not the schedule. Incidentally, we had 3 games in 7 days including a long trip up to Doncaster the Saturday before so I don't get the relevance to your groans.

I won't challenge your point about our 3-0 win. That said, I didn't think we came out of 2nd gear for much of the game which was in part due to refereeing decisions but I don't think our victory was ever in doubt after Dunk's red card.

Speaking of Zaha's dive to win us a point, you can also point to the Buckley penalty which also won you a point. Poyet was embarassed by both incidents in his post match interview, I don't see why/how 99% of the NSC seem to take the morale high ground over that game.

You're in a tight spot for Sunday's game, but it is entirely your own fault for allowing one striker to be available for the game. We can't control your players trying to trip up referees, CMS' injury in unfortunate but there was quite a simple solution to finding his replacement, don't give your main rivals Stephen Dobbie.

FWIW, Palace have their best 2 centre halves injured at present but you don't hear us moaning. Whether or not the referee is against you, I don't know and I couldn't possibly come out with such a statement after one performance. If he gives you a dubious penalty that wins the game, that Burnley defeat will be long forgotten.

Funnily enough, in 2003 and 2009, we were reduced to 9 men in ridiculous fashion against Burnley also but because we picked up 4 points in those games, I guess we didn't care as much!

Dodgy penalty awards this season? Please point to them. Thanks.

I think you'll find the reason we get the most penalties is because we have the best attacking players. People foul them in the box because they're too good for the defenses at this level. In truth we should have had many more penalties than we've actually gotten.

Excuses at the ready I see. Maybe whoever loses is simply not the better team on the day?

Our top scorer is injured, the man who has scored eleven goals and who many of you say cannot hit a barn door.
Barnes is suspended, six goals and three assists, another who a lot of your fans say is not that good.
The ref will be against us

Maybe its time you lot conceded that at the moment we are by far the better team.

Feel free to apply for my ban, if it makes you feel better

I was thinking we are due so many refereeing decisions against them after D'Urso missed a blatant penalty for us last season when it was 1-0 to us at the Amex, the referee last year falling for Zaha's dive in the 1-1 draw and the referee at Selhurst getting two major decisions wrong (corner for their first goal and penalty for the second) but that's not going to happen now we've got Pawson on Sunday.

It's not like Buckley didn't dive to win you the pen as well

For starters, your first penalty against us. Murray was clever and played for it and the incompetent referee (who booked the same player twice without sending him off later on in the season) fell for it.

Great only my second ever visit to the Amex for a match and that c##k is ref again! He ruined my maiden visit after 9 mins ...unbelievable.
Better practice the Great Escape again lads and lasses as a couple of powder puff tumbles from Palace's sycro diving team and we'll be belting that one out again for 80 mins!!!!:censored:

Haha, similar thing here. My first ever proper game at the Amex (except the County Cup Final) was against Burnley, and this is my first game attended this season. Hope it's not an omen for shoddy decisions and controversy.

It was the manner of the Burnley game. Both were v dodgey reds and they should've had at least 1 off.. trust me the ref was woeful.

I don't recall your schedule being like ours for the first game or you being the better side at any point in first half.

Hoskins is injured and Dobbie was woeful for us (as ur finding out not that I'll ever admit it)

McCarthy been injured all season so doesn't really count.. who's the other injury?

Zahas was a blatant act of cheating; Buckleys wasn't at all. You've def had a lot go for you without doubt.

Ps apologies if any words make no sense this bloody predictive text is odd.

FFS, a thread about the referee who sent 2 of ours off now hijacked by Seaside "I don't pay up what I owe" Eagle.

MODS please, enough.

We didn't give you Dobbie you are buying him and I would rather play without him, because as a striker he would make a good plumber. 21 goals in coming up to 5 seasons in English football.
