It is not acceptable for anyone to threaten an official for doing their job.

Frisk was poor referee, but I'm sure his errors were honest ones.

Once just doing your job becomes a risk to your children, then it's no longer worth doing.

What would help is if referees admitted to their errors, can't see that happening though

Referees remind me of policemen. People who join the police are either do-gooders (in the best sense of the word) who join the force to add value to the community and wish to contribute to society in a positive way. Or they're bully-boy pig-ignorant twats who joined for a bit a of power and to indulge in the whole all-for-one sexist racist but protectionist culture. There is very little in between.

Refs are the same - they're either there because they wanted to get fit, enjoy the beautiful game and see reffing as a contribution to the game they love. If not, they're like sporting traffic wardens who love the sound of their own voice and controlling everybody elses every move for the sake of it.

Frisk was the latter type - which is fine if you can command the respect of the players and are any good. But lets be honest, Frisk was toilet.

I don't give a toss how good or bad Frisk was (though he was nowhere near the worst), Mourinho was completely out of order. .

At LAST.

I know this board comes out pretty much in favour of Maurinho but he's starting to get on my TITS now.

Like me I guess you're still upset that the 'best ref in the world' missed a clear foul on the Barca keeper to allow those arrogant rich capitalist twats a victory they did not deserve. I wonder if Barca fans are going to subject Collina to a torrent of abusive emails like Chelsea fans did with Fisk and England fans did with Urs Meyer (sp)?

Part of me does sympahise with Tooting's view though.

but its like UEFA are using it as a chance to attack an english side

the UEFA refs association called Mourinho an enemy to the game.

I didnt hear that damning criticism of the shocking racist behaviour of some of the european fans

also....surely the Roma coin thing has more to do with it than Jose.
