Another nearly man. Doubt we'll make anything on him. Pity. Sell on clause? - yes,, there probably is, but will it yield much? Good luck to him anyway - could have had a decent career in The Championship, but if he prefers Reims and Ligue 1, OK. Probably not a bad life.
Not as disappointing as Koslowski opting for the soft option at Vitesse again instead of braving it in England and the Championship.

Imagine if there was a Jeff Minton show reel ... And he was brilliant.

He wasn’t a free transfer, we paid a fee

Pretty sure he'd been released or rather not offered a contract when his scholarship ran out in Germany. Any money we paid might have been compensation for his training costs but that wouldn't be much compared to selling him for a few million.

Bit harsh on Koslowski! The club probably thought it was a good move for him again as he did well there and they play good football. Personally think it makes a lot of sense, he’s still just 19…..

Think we're more likely to just about break even, if that. Don't imagine Reims often fork out fees that big for players who've only played as high as second tier in England.
Khadra has played in the Premier League: he came on as a substitute against Man City

You can also improve as a player outside of old Blighty too you know? You don't have to het Allardyced in the Championship to make it at Brighton as countless of our players have shown over the last few years

This, especially odd to criticise Vitesse who have a pretty sublime record with loanees. As per the below selection from the past decade:

Lois Openda
Armando Broja
Martin Odegaard
Mason Mount
Dominic Solanke
Bertrand Traore
Patrick Van Aanholt.

A few million? Have Reims got a few million to spend?

The scuttlebutt is a low fee (around or slightly under €1m), and a considerable sell-on percentage. Wish him luck, it’s in our interest as with Gyokeres for these players to be successful.

But you do have to challenge young players to come out of their comforrt zone sometimes.

Someone posted before me saying £5m fee. I’m thinking more 1 or 2 but have no idea of the finances of a French team.

Perhaps there is a player coming the other way?

A specialist defensive midfielder we’ve been linked to before…….

I always feel that the recruitment team are on a hiding to nothing.

Couple of young championship strikers please.
We've got great signings, ready in a year

Did we say Championship, we meant lower Prem
We've got a couple of defenders and a mid that will tear the lower Prem apart

Did we say 'lower' we meant mid prem

etc, etc
