Red arrow goes down at Eastbourne station

I'm sure that crash was in 1980,was watching the red arrow display from the RSCH and saw the plane crash into the sea.Was really sad at the time because we all assumed that the pilot had died but saw on the news later that he'd ejected to safety.

I was on the pier and we saw the pilot eject.

It was May 1980 I had been in the RAF exactly a year that month!!
