Our wheelie bin is overflowing every week. Thats even with putting papers/magazines out fortnightly (alternates with garden waste). At least our wheelie bin is a decent size , we would be in serious trouble with a B&H or Eastbourne wheelie bin which is the same size given out to OAPs and single persons here.

Everywhere seems to be different ? What is wrong with phone books ? For recycling. Before September here we had to 'sort-out' our rubbish tins in one box, glass in another that was because it was hand sorted onto the truck into seperate areas on the truck. Now just one bin for that kind of stuff. So what happens next ?

I think some areas do really want to recycle, and are aware of the difficulties engaging with residents and are realistic about the quality of recyclable materials. I believe my Council are taking that approach.

Other Councils only want to do the easiest thing they can get away with, therefore have prepared IMO poor tenders. Others Councils seem to want to treat their residents as potential criminals and use threat and enforcement instead of education and patience.
