Recording Equipment Help

Looking to do some recording from home, voice mainly.

I know i need a microphone lolol and a preamp. I am going to buy the Art Tube MP original, as it is good for condenser microphone home recoding.

I am also going to buy a pretty decent mic, around £80. However, i want to connect the Mic to the preamp, and then to a file on my computer. I then want to put it onto disk. I'd obviously need a sort of lead for both, but can't find out which ones anywhere?

im not sure i can help much but when i record tracks/remixes for my DJing i use VirtualDJ it has a plus microphone option and this maybe an option but the money your spending sounds like you want more.

I bought my audio interface from here. M-Audio is a good make and has jack and xlr inputs.

I believe you mean audio interface rather than pre-amp? I am not sure you can plug a pre-amp into a computer and have it work?
