Try Brakes engineering on Lancing industrial estate. I started to take my car there last year for servicing and they were half the cost of the previous dealers garage I used to use. My brother in law has also used them for all his fleet van servicing. Best give them a ring and get a quote though first.

Thwaites on the Portslade sea front are pretty decent. Ian is a decent bloke and they will not rip you off.

Autotec on Wordworth Road in Worthing are fantastic. They know everything there is to know about cars, honest about what needs replacing - and what will last a bit longer, efficient with phone calls/updates on how the service is going etc.

They sorted out a faulty indicator bulb for me, which involved removing fitting, emptying it of water :(, drying it out with some special stuff, ordering bulb, refitting bulb, testing it and charged me - a fiver for the bulb. :)
