On the ocean wave
In Las Palmas, Gran Canaria today. Went for a run at lunch time along the prom. I had an Albion training top on.
Coming towards me were a large group of schoolkids, being escorted by a teacher. I'd estimate around 20-30 of them, aged 11-12 maybe.
As I get closer, one of them starts shouting, "Hey, Brighton, Vamos!" Then all the others joined in as I ran past, shouting Brighton, Brighton!

We've come a long way.

Excellent! At least they didn’t come out with the ages old “You’ll never make the station” ditty. :)

We have indeed It also helps of course that we have signed a fair few players over recent years from La Liga, I imagine that quite a number of Spanish footie fans would be well aware of us by now.

I was in Florida over Christmas, and in a couple of the theme parks, I was wearing BHA related malarkey, but quite restrained/less obvious, yet still had people commenting - non-Brits mainly! The first US voice I heard singing "Seagulls!" took me back a little!

I had a work meeting in Berlin recently, when I checked in to the hotel, showing the passport to the receptionist, he looks at it and sees my birthplace as Brighton and says “you’re a Seagulls supporter, Yes?” That has never been said to me on my travels before.

I was at universal about 5 years ago, saw a lad in an Albion top and sang very loudly “aye aye Ashley Barnes”, the kid shat himself. I apologise if he was a relative of anyone on here.
