Restaurant for a birthday meal on Friday

Right people heres the deal:-

I have been let down by a certain restaurant at the marina for a birthday meal for ten people.


Phoned around a couple I have experience of but no luck as its such short notice.


Most people will eat anything and no one is too fussy.

I reckon around £25 a head is the limit but maybe more.


Any decent suggestions you people of worldly knowledge.

Otello's in Hove is always spot on with a good atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Highly recommended.

Bella Napoli at Brighton Marina is always good fun and value for money if there's a large group of you, and the new Indian restaurant there is also good if you like a curry in better than average surroundings.

Five Bells - North Chaily. £23 three courses. Jazz on a Friday and the beer is excellent too.

Buffet Island opposite St Peters Church.

£14 all you can eat Chinese buffet place and it is pretty decent quality as well.

Big one up the top, not sure about ebony rooms but there are a few bars very close to it. Good service, very good food, massive selection. Been there twice, brilliant both times.

What about the Grosvenor Casino in Hove, a bar an excellent restaurant and then the cards or the roulette

Nice Mongolian place in the lanes, great atmosphere normally and good food.

Dig in the Ribs in Preston Street. Loads of room upstairs, they'll accomodate 10 no probs. And can I recommend the TEX MEX MIX - it comes on a plate the size of a DUSTBIN lid.

A man after my own heart Easy, cracking place but the food has gone somewhat downhill in recent times.

Love it for a big old bowl of Loosebones for a lunch treat though!
