I can believe the press on this one. I've never seem such a frustrated England side since Spain '82, and Rooney's outburst against the fans shows how much feelings are running high.

I watched the John Terry press conference yesterday, and then got a completely fabricated interpretation of that conference in the media. A media with an agenda, which desperately wants to report on arguments, divisions and fallouts in the squad.

.

Nah. He's a mutinous dog, and deserves to be keel-hauled.

I'm trying to be optimistic for all the above reasons, but I can't help but feel it's not just the Algeria game we were poor in. The last 3 or 4 games we've been under par, and I find that a little worrying. If it was just a one-off game with a dissapointing performance then it wouldn't be so bad, but we wern't impressive against USA, Mexico, Japan or Egypt.

I'm not saying everything is sweetness and light, but France we are not.

Amen to that

One good performance and we can turn it all around, i still havent seen a side we cant beat to be honest.

We were okay in the USA game and easily good enough to win it. We beat Mexico easily despite playing poorly (sign of a good team) and although the Japan game was poor overall, we were at our first best in the 2nd half when............ Joe Cole was on the pitch.

at least in those games, we have remained undefeated, but indeed we were pretty bad to watch, even though we won 2 of them (the 2 that mattered the least)

Our keeper is our top scorer, that is flair

Also we are on BBC, so we may get to watch the whole game

Why don't the senior players copy what Terry Venables did when he was at Chelsea in the late 60's, he admitted that they listened to the manager's pre-match instructions then went out onto the pitch and did what they thought was right, seem to remember they won an FA Cup around that time.

Chelsea's first cup final was in 1967 which they lost 2-1 to Spurs, I think El Tel had already left the club by then.

Johnson summed himself up in the Algeria game. Good going forward, getting beaten every time by Belhadj when defending.
