El Pres - "However the sycophantic attitude of the press, the embarrassing ignorance of a sizeable minority of their support, and the lack of support for football as a wider part of the community act as a big black mark in my book."

Yep their probably reasons 1,2 and 3

Loads more though, the arrogance over their players sometimes, eg over the Ferdinand affair makes my blood boil

You see hundreds of kids wondering around with Manure shirts on, or blokes who ahve never been to Old Trafford but they're MAN U through and Through!!!

My teams:

Brighton
Real Madrid
Ajax
Dumbarton

1 per country me :lolol: :lolol:

And its those kids who should be the future fans of their local clubs, the more they lose the less fans they'll have and that could mean that the kids buy the local teams top and not the manc scum. Oh and you cant forget them for 83 anyway.

Bloody hate Roy Keane to death. If UTD get beat then that means he's on the losing side. That'll do for me, the TOSSER.

Dunno about anybody else but I have no problem with the team (Alex Ferguesson and Roy Keene excepted) but I get fed up with their hoards of armchair fans who would know Old Trafford even if they were stood on it's centre circle.

There are so many kids (& adult too) around who think that supporting a football team means buying the shirt in JJB, buying a duvet cover and lampshade in Argos and watching them play on SKY.

They have no idea whatsover about week in week out support, rain, motorways etc.

Man Utd are arrogant and target these kids cynically.

I think it worsened when the Premiership came into being.

I only had a very mild dislike for Man Utd and ideed was surprised when I was actually quite pleased when they won the European cup in 1999.

It was however the disgraceful descision to drop out of the 2001 FA cup to play in a Mickey mouse tournament, with no history, designed for corporate and sponsorship purposes. Then to turn around and try and justify it by saying that their involvement was key to England's bid to host the World cup in 2006.

Oh the arrogance.

Although I don't hate Man Utd any more than most clubs I will say I'm f***ing FED UP with Taggart's utter lack of grace when his team loses.

Apparently, the linesman didn't do his job. No mention of an honest mistake then. And also it seems his team did SOOO well and didn't deserve to lose. Again, conveniently overlooking the fact that Porto completely dominated the second half in search of an equaliser. etc etc. It's the same every game he loses.

Compare his conduct to the England rugby team who have spent all week explaining how Ireland thoroughly deserved to win and gave them a kick up the arse and I'm left scratching my head as to how a man who's only achievements are comparitively far smaller than Shankly and Paisley (and who is unfit to lick their boots) was given a knighthood.
