ok we lost to palace, anfd in fact we are not going up to the premiership this season.............probaly mid table at best. This is a tough league as tonight proved, but have a good think about the last TWENTY years and this is the the best we have been in all that time..............so

-remember hereford
-stop having a go at anyone who left early, they pay their money and can do what the f**k they want
-Realise that this season is about etablishing ourselves
-Leave the players alone, the majority of whom have never!!! played at this level
-Chill out we wont go up...we wont go down

Yup the honeymoon is over. Gus has been proved to be human, our defence which was suspect last season has been found out and our midfield, imo, is very lightweight Bridcutt and Navarro apart. Falmer is not a fortress and we are unlikely to be getting promoted. I can't think of a worse place or team to have brought this home to us but we have to accept it and move on. There have been so many highs that this massive low was almost inevitable. Those who have been Brighton fans for a while would have half expected it

The future is so much brighter than we could ever have imagined as we kicked off against Maccelesfield (?) at Gillingham all those years ago! I expect we'll keep playing attractive football and adding to the squad but we'll just have to lower our expectations on this season.

Do f*** off. We have moved on from Hereford. We cannot continue to use that as a benchmark.

Football great loving every second of it at the amex, only downside is the way the club and police are able to handle these type of games! Apart from let them mingle plan a they have no plan b.They need a seperate walk way for this fixture or tickets only available to away fans on coaches! Also don't let palace fans drink in the centre of brighton and then escort them right past pubs filled with albion fans! Very strange, conspiracy theory anyone?:moo:

No conspiracy Rev, just evidence of a complete shambles.

The police were clueless and it was clear as the nose on your face that their leadership had no idea what to do.

Throughout the country fixtures like this are usually made 1.00pm kick offs, on advice from the police, but our police prefer 7.45pm kick offs.

Brighton manager Gus Poyet insisted he would have been happy with the 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace had it been to any side other than the Eagles.
Albion's unbeaten league record at the new Amex Stadium was ended by their arch-rivals with former Brighton player Glenn Murray sealing the win in stoppage time.
"I'm sad because it was Palace, if it was any other team I would welcome this because it brings people back down to earth, because we are not as good as we looked in the table," said Poyet.
"As a team if you don't want to lose one game it's against Palace, but we did and we have to take it.
"But it's good for me, I learned more in this game than from games we win.
"I'm not happy for Palace but I'm happy for Glenn, he's a good lad. The problem is we cannot seem to play for 90 minutes. I started playing in 1992, and from then until now the game has always lasted 90 minutes."

There is something in that.
I wonder what the percentage of the crowd has to be that was born after then, consigns it to history.

Some good points but I can't understand people leaving at 2-1 down - plenty of time for another goal wasn't there - as Mu**ay proved.

I never thought we were going up this season and have always said a mid table finish would be brilliant for us but to lay down and do what we did against them last night was very hard to take. I could have taken that 3-1 loss at home to pretty much anyone in the championship but not them.
