Out of interest, when WOULD you consider us to be 'established' at PL level?
Good player. But NOT a priority, Shirley!?

Oldham had 7 seasons in the top flight before disappearing into oblivion. Wimbledon had 10 or 11. Both clubs were always looking like trouble was on its way so, factoring in everything....at least 6, and with two decent mid table plus finishes next season and the season after. Then I might start feeling a little more established.
Shirley any player that can improve the starting eleven would be a good signing?
I would be amazed if the normal suspects DON’T splash the cash

If we can just sign any fit and half decent Argentinian striker with 4 syllables in his first name, I will happy.

All i'd say about that it that it's a young team for this level. They will get better year on year.
If we did keep our squad together, there's every reason to think we'd do better next year than this.
I reckon Andone is basically going to be the new striker
You may be right. The one thing that all young teams lack is consistency, and after another season together we may acheive more of that next year.
I still have faith in Andone and think he could yet prove to be an asset to the club, after all he is still on our payroll so why not take a chance and play him. He cost us very little so we are'nt losing out either way.
I realise I'm going to sound like a madman by suggesting a striker who hasn't scored this season as our way of solving our goalscoring problems, but I wonder whether we could get Rhian Brewster on the cheap. He hasn't scored at Sheff Utd but they have been awful. Not scoring in a team that doesn't create chances isn't really surprisng.
I don't think you become a bad player overnight, and he was very highly thought of at Liverpool. If Sheff Utd's faith him as gone, and they're looking to save money following relegation I wonder whether we could pick him up for 15 million. I think that would be worth a punt. I think if a team creates chances he would score goals, and with confidence growing he could develop into a great player.
1. Brewster is only 1 year into a 5-year contract at Sheff Utd. That contract includes a £40 million buy-back clause for Liverpool that expires 30 June 2023.
2. Brewster scored 10 in 20 on loan at Swansea in the Championship.
3. Sheff Utd have a realistic chance of bouncing back straight away, especially as they will get their injured players back.
For these three reasons alone Sheff Utd would be mad to get rid of Brewster now.
