Realistic Points For Dec

I earmarked when the fixtures came out that December would be the most important period for us this season.

It’s 11 points for me Clive

I think 10 points. W3 D1 L2.
However, I’d not be surprised if we get more. I would be disappointed if it was less though.

They are all sides that like to try and play football which could be ideal opponents for us to play against. I'd love 10points

I think we’ll get 7 - anything more will be very pleasing.

Realistic Points For Dec

7/12 Brighton V Southampton 3 Points: Due some luck against them.

13/12 Leicester V Brighton 0 Points: Vardy will have the shooting boots on.

16/12 Fulham V Brighton 3 Points: Too many confusing tactics for Parker to cope with.

20/12 Brighton V Sheffield United 1 point: They’ll park the bus like Burnley and we won’t break through.

27/12 WHU V Brighton 1 point: Another draw.

29/12 Brighton V Arsenal 0 Points: They owe us one.

Total 8 points.

My thoughts/opinion is that Fulham/Shef U are games you would hope we would win. I think we are better than both teams.
Therefore, from the remaining fixtures, I think 1-1-2.

Although I can see your position.

I feel that, after 10 games, 5 of which are against ‘top’ teams (Liverpool, Everton, Spurs, Chelsea & Man U, we have 10 points from 10 games.) So 9 points from 5 games from teams outside the big clubs.
So, 10 points from the next 6 games is not an unreasonable target.

Not an unreasonable target, I agree. But you said " I’d not be surprised if we get more. I would be disappointed if it was less though."

I know what we are capable of - we could take a lot fo points from those games. I'd be delighted with 10 but not surprised if we get fewer.

My other observation is that these games come thick and fast which adds a level of unpredictability. We're on the same page but different levels of optimism I think!

It's BHA for god sakes. So Draw v Southampton,
Win away 3-0 at Leicester,
Lose away to Fulham ( their only home win)
Lose home to Sheff Utd,
Draw West Ham,
Win at Arsenal.

= 7 points as usual in all the wrong places:eek:

Could be 15, might be 5 or 6 . . . . Rubber sheets are still in storage, we're bound to be dissapointed by something, and hopefully delighted by 3 points from Arsenal

There are 3 very winnable games there. It's about time we put a few bang average teams to the sword. Hopefully lots of early Christmas shooting boots arrive in the post this week

Last season, in the 5 corresponding fixtures, against these teams, we picked up 5 points.

In the other fixture, Playing away against newly promoted teams, we averaged 1.3 points.

So par is 6.3 points.

Wins are so important. If we got two from this set of games, plus a couple of draws thrown in, I’d be delighted.
