What’s it called? Cumbernauld
Hasn’t gwargis already left? Gyorkeres I expect will go back to Sweden ostigard will get the contract extension as he’s a couple of years infront of where white was I doubt we’ll be letting him go. 4/5 first teamers should be moved on loan to buys probably. I think we might hold onto biss as I doubt there’s many that have the money and need that type of player

Not saying I necessarily agree with all the below leaving, but I think these are the most realistic main squad departures:

Proper
Ryan
Duffy
Molumby
One of Clarke/Ostigard
Gyokeres
AJ
Izzy
Biss
Locadia

I think the ‘at risk’ list is as follows:

Ryan
Walton
Clarke
Duffy
White
Kazukolovas
Yapi
Clarke
Karbovnik (loan)
Østigård
Bernardo
Baluta
Molumby
Bissouma
Pröpper
Richards
Tau
Jahanbakhsh
Andone
Izquierdo
Locadia
Gwargis
Connolly (loan)
Gyökeres

Probably missed a few!

Really hope Taylor Richards isn’t let go. That kids got real potential, would like to see him in the Championship next season.

You just have to glance at our loan army to realise that very few will make our first team. For example, the boys sent to Coventry will probably be staying there?

We are in need of a clear out.

Then there is our over stocked first team. If Biss was to depart, they’d be 5 (five) internationals and mostly youthful central midfielders looking to grab his starting place (Pröpper, Moder, Alzate, Caicedo & Molumby); they can’t all play or in some cases, they can’t all make the bench.

We then have the Hughton signings who have failed to become Potter regulars, the likes of Duffy, Andone, Locadia and Jahanbakhsh who will want 1st team football but probably for cut price transfers.

They’ll be some U23s like Pete Gwargis who have reached an age where they’ll want a permanent transfer for the sake of first time football or players with immense promise like Connolly who might benefit from a season at a lower level where they’ll get the game time to develop.

Finally, a few of our top players are attracting the attention of the big boys. We’re not going to be able to keep hold of players like Bissouma or White if £50m+ bids come in.

Who would be on your departure list?

Thoughts?

Slightly related both the Coventry boys scored yesterday

That looks about right with one concern. Still nobody has mentioned Sánchez. It may not be long at this rate before other teams start sniffing around. Hopefully too early for next season.

A large clearout freeing up wages for 4+ singings :

Ryan
Walton
Duffy
White
Burn
Bernardo
Bissouma
Pröpper
Băluţa
Izquierdo
Jahanbakhsh
Andone
Tau
Locadia
Connolly
Gyökeres

Mac Allister is also a surprising "maybe" in that he only has 2 more years on his contract and we won't want him running that too far down before selling.

Good God, the training complex is going to look like the Marie Celeste once that lot have gone, at that rate we'll only have enough players to enter a five a side league, never mind the Premiership.

He said "at risk" not going - we clearly wouldn't lose all of them.

For example, I'm sure that we'll sell one of Biss or White but I'd be surprised if we sold both and, as many people said, it's not going to be easy to shift some players. I do think that Baluta and Locardia are as good as sold though (oh, and a pedant writes, it's the Mary Celeste, not the Marie)

Yes, it would leave us with around 22 players but I'd also reckon on 4 incoming.

Ryan - Bridges burnt then blown up and reburnt for good measure. Will go.
Walton - Probably time, not sure he is going to get in front of Sanchez and still has some value.
Clarke - Difficult one. Good championship player and probably deserves a chance. I'd sell Burn and bring him back.
Duffy - Time to go but can we get a reasonable fee? Might be another loan.
White - Could do with another season but an offer north of £40m would be hard to turn down.
Kazukolovas - Don't know much about the lad but from his lack of appearances assume he's likely to be released?
Yapi - Loan - Needs to play some mens football somewhere. Given that he hasn't made a 1st team squad even with our RB injuries says he has his work cut out.
Karbovnik (loan) - Needs to play and in this country for me loan would be good.
Østigård - Difficult one. Has talent but needs some spaces to be made in the squad, probably goes unless one or more of our CB leaves.
Bernardo - Gone
Baluta - Done, probably released.
Molumby - Big summer for him, Preston loan hasn't helped his cause. Might go, might be a mistake if he does.
Bissouma - Assume he will be off for big money. Good luck to him
Pröpper - Time to cash out for what we can get. Been a good servant but others have moved ahead.
Richards - Not really shown enough at Donny to make me think he can make it with us, Looked OK in the game I watched the other day but only that OK- Sell.
Tau- Not good enough from the way he has faded from the scene since he joined. Sold
Jahanbakhsh - Had enough chances - Sell
Andone - Has to get back into the squad/team before season end for me. I cannot see him doing that. Sell.
Izquierdo - Injuries have taken their toll. Release.
Locadia - Someone? Anyone?
Gwargis - Not going to make it.
Connolly (loan) - A loan would help in my opinion. There is a player in there but injuries and inconsistency are both threats to his PL future.
Gyökeres - Not going to make it. Sell

I'm pretty confident Dunk will still be here next season whether in the PL or Championship (primarily because I only think he'd leave for a really big club and none are likely to be in for him). Almost anyone else there is a realistic route by which they depart.

That looks a good summary of what we'd probably like to do. Getting buyers for Duffy, Ali J, Locadia, Bernardo will be tricky. Loans for all 4, are more likely. This won't free up wages for transfers though as we'll have pay most of their wages

I don't think it will be easy to sell any of our players, not just some in the current economic climate, maybe that's a good thing though, in that they will be very few teams indeed who will be tempted, or indeed financially able, to bid for the likes of Bissouma, White, or any of the players that we will be deperate to keep.

At school l was always taught to call her the Marie Celeste, as opposed to Mary, (although l see wikki tells us that that is incorrect). In fact l'm surprised that anyone even remembers her now! I certainly doubt that many of the young generation do.

Not a fan of Clarke then?

I want him in the first team squad next season (to really rub Pompey's nose in it with Webster there too and their other recent quality centre half nabbed by USG). But he surely can't do another loan year if he is not ready this summer?

Probably meant Mlakar or Arce rather than two Clarke's.

I think the top priority here is to shift those on a big wedge who are not justifying that salary with their contribution. Top of the list is Ali J and Davy Propper, closely followed by Ryan, Duffy and Izquierdo. If we can shift those 5 we will have done well.
