The Santiago Bernabéu is set for a bit of development - looks the business doesn't it.

In a pile of football shirts
So Real Madrid are, depending what report you read, anything between £400 - £500M in debt, add this in, they are going to be a billion in debt before long. How do they get away with such blatent flouting of the financial FIFA/UEFA rules?

Being Spanish, would look for a bail out from FIFA.

Looks amazing! If that was Brighton's new stadium we'd have been wetting ourselves.

It does feel like one rule for the Spanish and English giants and another rule for the rest... FFP is a joke - they will have amounted over £800million debt plus what ever they spend on transfers over the next 4 years... On the flip side I would love to see this stadium built and looking like this!! Stunning piece of design, puts the Birds Nest and the Dallas Cowboys stadiums to shame!

I think Barcelona and Real Madrid own the TV rights to their own games, I believe this is how they outstrip most other European teams for generating income (and probably big cheap loans). I understand this had made the Spanish league rather like the SPL, other spanish clubs like Real Santander are not paying players, we have a big gulf but it seams a bit of money does trickle down especially within the EPL.
