Real defensive worries

We now have El-Abd, Butters, Cullip and Watson all injured.

Virgo playing a blinder as a striker ...

That leaves Hinshelwood, Harding and Mayo as first team defenders!!!

Simon Rodger can fill in as a defender when he is fit ... but it makes us very left sided! Just such a shame Blackwell was forced to retire.

How long before Butters is fit?

Will McGhee make a loan signing or bring Virgs back into the back line?

Butters
was on the verge last night but MM did not want to risk him

still charlie will be fine there after his display great man marking might struggle with a pacey winger after all we all saw what he did in the first half for the booking

Our next line up:

Kuipers

Hinshelwood Butters Virgo Harding

Chippy Nicolas Hammond Mayo

Knight Mc Phee

I'd put money on it!

Really?? Is Currie injured or do you think he will be dropped after his various man-of-the-match displays?

yep very lucky the ref was just shit he lost the plot MM soon got charlie off moved ever one around and put mayo in the middle.

Defence wise concerned but not overly worried i think the team spirit at the moment will keep us going

He is unlikely to move Virgo from attack, so surely the options are to either play Reid at right back where he has played at Bradford and our reserves or tinker with the formation and move Mayo in as a third centre back, Harding and Reid / Hart as wing backs and then I guess Carpenter and Nicolas as the holding midfielders and Currie allowed to do whatever.

I like that idea UB especially giving Reid a place... but wonder if McGhee would do that with Sheff Utd at home and then Crewe away???

Oops, I had Mayo on my mind after he came on. No, obviously Currie with Mayo on the bench! :lolol:
