Try the Duck and Drake near the market, I haven't been there for a few years but it was certainly an entertaining place with plenty of choice or Whitelocks.

they serve yorkshire puddings and gravy as a dish on the menu

Both those are good, Whitelocks is smallish so will be very busy.

Good Sam Smiths pub is the Angel Inn in the same area, or if your looking for some local stuff Brewery Tap by the staion isn't to bad either. Or again The Adelphi isn't to shabby

Both those are good, Whitelocks is smallish so will be very busy.

This... Lovely pub on three floors and very cheap, as Sam Smiths pubs are.

neither of those pubs are close to the station. There are however loads that are, including Prince of Wales, Scarborough,and Brewery Tap (brews it's own)all real ale pubs right next to the station.

If anyone goes in the Scarborough it's very important to wear colours and to loudly speculate on the number of active homosexuals in West Yorkshire

You can't really go wrong with these two for ale. Have some hazy memories of great times in both places when I was living in Leeds

I looked on google maps and it didn't look far, kirkgate that is.

I think GOM ment that they aren't really ajacent to the station and there is some walking involved.
