Thank you BHA in achieving a scoreline against Reading that nobody correctly predicted, given that I am out of the country & would have taken ages to upload lots of correct scores! However, I will be back to watch the game at The Madejski stadium, so let's get back to winning ways? Will this be our hardest test in the current campaign? Unbeaten so far (top), playing a Reading side (7th) & predicted to do well in this campaign. The Royals have lost only once this season at home against Derby, 1-0 but succumbed to Fulham 4-2 away last Saturday. During October, Hull, Burnley & Derby have already picked up more points than us. With the Albion playing Sheffield W away after Reading, surely we will need at least one win, if we want to remain top. This will also mean scoring goals, something we are not too proficient, even though we are top! Hull, Middlesbrough, Birmingham, Reading, QPR, Fulham, Brentford all have scored more than us so far. Can we rely on our defence week in week out?

Head to head we have met 95 times, with Reading having the upper hand with 35 wins, 31 draws & 29 BHA victories. Our record against them in recent years is absolutely shocking. Just one win in a FA Cup match at The Amex in 2014, 3 draws & 7 defeats in the past 11 meetings. We have failed to beat Reading, home or away in the Championship in any of our 10 matches. We have to go back to the league 1 win in 2003 in Berkshire to taste victory.

Don't think Reading are all that and we're about due a real performance. 1-3 Albion. (Hemed, Dunk, Baldock)

If we play like our last couple of games it'll be the game we become unstuck 3-1 to the bad guys

This has all the makings of the run coming to an end in spectacular fashion. Wheels coming off, contentious decisions, deflections, own goals, law of averages etc. So I'm going to ignore all this and go for 2-0 to the good guys and predict that we will fail to pass the all-time record at Sheffield next Tuesday, suffering an ugly 0-1.

Reading and Wednesday, 2 v hard away games. I'd take 2 draws, but I feel we'll come unstuck on Saturday 2-0.

Not a great performance v Preston, injuries building up, luck is due to turn bad at some stage - I hope I'm wrong though and we win!

Just checked Paddypower for odds:

Reading - Evens
Draw 12/5
Bton - 13/5

I don't think the bookies have ever fancied us this season, making teams 10 points behind us shorter odds to win the title etc. I'm tempted to lump some big cash on us at that price - very long for a team at the top that's unbeaten (even though my head is sending negative vibes!).

A draw, followed by an historic win at Wednesday would be a fantastic set of results for us.

2-1 Reading. Will I break my duck for this season with this one, or will I fortuitously continue to contribute to our unbeaten run?
