Back from the Festival, really enjoyed myself.

Saw somebody in an Albion shirt on the Saturday. Was that any one on here?
I said hello to you, was wearing a grey hooded top and pink glasses?

Highlights: The Libertines, Klaxons, Mumford and Sons, and Sub Focus

Lowest Moment : Guns 'N' Roses, the whole fiasco, being An hour and a Half late, refusing to go off stage, when the plug was pulled at Midnight, and trying to sing through a microphone...

Was just wondering who else went? And if you enjoyed it?

Only watched on TV but thought Arcade Fire were incredible.

And of course The Libertines!

Didn't see anyone in a Brighton shirt. Have done in the past though. I wore my Brighton hoodies all weekend as it was sooo bloody cold all weekend! Third time I've been and I love it every time! Thought The Macabees, Weezer, Blink 182 were my highlights. Not the biggest fan of Dizzee Rascal but he was pretty entertaining! I was far too hammered to notice what was going on with Guns n Roses, I only realised they had thrown their toys out of the pram and come on late when I overheard someone talking about it.

Did you hear anything about a crush near the toilets to the left of the stage?

For Dizzie there was a crush, i fell over ,as people fell on top on me, I couldn't take much more and was crowd-surfed out during his last song. As i was trying to get out people were climbing on the Food vans to escpae it, due to the amount of people trying to get to the toliets after the end of the set...

GNR these days are a joke, not even close to the proper GNR.

I saw a couple of people in Albion shirts, had a great time, The Libertines and Weezer were certainly my highlights and it was great to finally see Blink 182.

GnR were farcical, turning up an hour late then going off to change his outfit every other song while a session musician does a 5 minute solo, everyone near me just seemed bored. The end was just surreal.

A friend said he saw someone trampled on and then lifted over the fence unconcious, not good.

Have to say Ash were good too.

Stopped going when it became populated almost entirely by 14/15 year olds. Sure it wasn't like that when I started going but maybe I'm just getting old.:(

The last time I went it was full of stropy teenage lads dressed in black and always looking to the ground....and posh girls all bragging about getting straight As. Still, I had a nice time. The New York Dolls were great fun, Moz was in a playful mood and The White Stripes played a blinder.

I at some point on the Friday night hurt my ankle (probably in the mud) and am now on crutches!!

Still had a brilliant time, I thought the Cribs were good, Dizzee really got the crowd going and I was very happy to finally see Queens of the Stone Age and Modest Mouse. Gutted I don't really remember LCD Soundsystem and Pendulum though!

Ah man, LCD are in tip-top form at the moment. Saw them at Glasto and again the week before last.

I missed Pendulum too, altough I think I had a better reason than getting Drunk :rave:
Lost Prophets and Biffy were also good. Along with The Cribs , Magnetic Mouse, and The Midnight Beast.

:lolol:

Reading has lost it's appeal to me.. Too many 14 year old kids about, too much hassle getting tickets (Resorted to camping outside Reading Hexagon in March for 15 hours this year), the sound getting worse and worse every year on the main stage, the violence etc etc.
The mud is not so bad if you live close enough to go home for a shower every now and again- doing the Wednesday to Monday stint without a wash is pretty savage.
There wasn't an atmosphere at any other festival like Reading in the past, but since NME and Radio 1 got so involved, it has turned into a load of commercialised shite, really.
