Thank you all for your support in helping me to find his shirt, I have found some very helpful people along the way, I will report back if I get any News...
I spoke to my dad Regarding the comments your all making about him and he said if he was a bit younger he would love to turn out for the albion again..
he said thank you for your comments and is glad you all still remember him..

Well give him the link. He'd be amoung friends here and some of us love to hear about the old times! He wouldn't be the 1st former player to join our ranks.

Wally Gould, Johnny Goodchild, Bobby Smith. Great times, great team and what entertainment. Hope you find the shirt. Wally deserves nothing less.

You're right. What a team that was! They were real glory days and every game seemed to be exciting ... or am I just dreaming??

And how about you, young mr gould, are you a Sussex lad or just after a prezzie for your dad, which is fair enough.QUOTE]

If it's the same Shaun he is a major name in the Worthing hairdressing scene with his own luxury salon in the town centre

Right here, right now
I am (just) too young to have seen Wally play but am well aware of his legendary status as a past player for the Albion. Would be lovely to see him at the Withdean to take a bow and receive justified recognition. One of a number of players this could be done for.

How about a Legends day when we get as many of our finest players back to receive a well deserved ovation?

I could see that happening for the first game at Falmer - what do you all
reckon?

The sixties

My earliest memories were of Wally Gould on one wing and Tiger Tawse on the other with Kit Napier running riot against defences down the middle and the late Charlie Livesey dominating things from what we would now probably call the hole - or advanced midfield ..... oh happy days

The correct term at the time would have been half-back! or possibly inside forward.
