Telegraph is now reporting that our players think he'll leave this summer to go back to Italy.

The article alludes to a lack of control re transfers, the suggestion that Ali Mac and Moises are off, and interest from Inter.

What like all the players he wanted to keep that have signed new contracts? Oh and that fella from Watford we are supposedly breaking our transfer budget for.

Interesting in a interveiw with Gus Poyet recently said that when he was at Brighton he could talk directly to the chairman and ask for a player and the club would do their best to get them. Seem odd now they ignore RDZ and just buy the player they think.

If he buggers of to Italy then it will be nothing the club did and he would be a bit of a dick because again the club gave him a chance in the top flight of English football with a long contract.

But I think it is newspaper BS

Let's believe all this is true. So, there's some interest from Inter (and who wouldn't be interested in RDZ right now) and one player or two personally fear that this interest will make him go back to Italy. No interest from RDZ though. Everything the man has said has been the complete opposite, and he hasn't said anything of the like to the players, since those are just transcribed as their "fears". I obviously have no knowledge but from what he's said in the past and from your situation, it seems to me like you don't have to worry about him this summer.

It would not surprise me in the least to find out that the journalist is a mischief making Palace fan

“sources say” - do they? Or are you making that up?

“People close to X believe” - really? Which people? The cleaning lady? Did they tell you this?

If I were a player and a journo asked me if I was worried that Roberto might go back to Italy, I'd say "yes - of course I'm worried". You'd have to be a strange player to say that you'd be unconcerned. We're ALL concerned!! But whether it's likely to happen is another thing. And there's no guarantee that Inter will be in Europe next season.
