Nav and Barnes who have been two of our best and most consistent players through the long unbeaten streak?

Debatable. Hard to say really when no other players get to play no more than one game at a time or are subbed or brought on from the bench excluding the defence.

I wana see Razak, Vicente and Assulin on the pitch together. What a scary thought that would be for the oppositions defenders.

i wasnt at Blackpool so cant really comment but I think our midfield needs a shake up. bridcutt and navs together is just too defensive and sits too deep at home and leaves us lacking in attack. one needs to be dropped to allow razak to sit in the middle and allow vicente to support the front players imho

But Gus isn't always consistent - that's my point. I can think of a few players who have had bad games, and sometimes more than one (no names mentioned), but have still been kept in the starting 11. It seems harsh on Razak to have dropped him after one poor game. But for the life of me, I don't know why KLL doesn't play more either. He oozes class and his sheer presence worries other sides. I guess even Gus has his favourites.

Because sometimes there's a replacement ready and waiting, and sometimes there isn't. If Greer has a bad game, do you think he'll be dropped? When Bridcutt has a bad game, is he dropped? No, they generally have good games, and there's no easy replacement for them.

When you go unbeaten for a record number of games there's a reason the others don't go in. Have some perspective: we've been SUPERB the last couple of months. Very hard to beat.

So i take it Gus will apply that same rule for Barnes and nav then. About time.
It's a fair comment. I can only presume the reason Barnes/Nav seem relatively safe is that Gus thinks there is no real competition for the roles they play? Certainly whilst Barnes makes mistakes, he is very versatile, does what he's told and he can score goals. He also primarily plays in that awk position just behind the striker and links play with midfield. I'm not sure we have anyone else who can do that as effectively.

In my opinion he would be more ready to drop Navarro but only after he's had truly shit game. He was dreadful at Blackpool appararently, but given the system we play, who would Gus put just in front of his back 4 in Navarro's absence?

why ankergren? he's had his chance. if anything give gonzalez a go!

Apparently Gonzalez is awful as he thinks he is a centre back and continually tries to dribble the ball out of his area and past the opposition strikers. He is said to be quite good at it but when he loses it you are f....d.

There's a young chap - Liam something, I think? - was Player of the Season there for the first half of this season, then was moved forward and subsequently lost form.

Could give him a try. He was a trialist at Palace but don't hold it against him.

And I'm sorry but the "about time" comment is NOT fair enough. It's yet another example of Barnes and Navarro being scapegoats during a FANTASTIC run of results for our side in a new division.

Distribution is one thing you cannot fault Casper for. I think that now is the time for him to replace Brezovan. I would rather we brought in a decent keeper on loan but that isn't going to happen I don't think and Godden is impressed with Brezovan I would think judging by some comments he made walking to his car after the last home game.

I'm a Barnes fan but all I'm saying is that there do seem to be times when he is undroppable but that I suspect this is because of a lack of competition.

Agreed, I just don't like the "about time" as it suggests they've been wanting us to "get rid" for a while now, EVEN when they player has been playing well.
