Just read in the Argus that Razak in back in frame for tonights game Gus is quoted saying that he is in the same situation as other team members got to fight for his place

Quite right. Why should he play ahead of Navarro? Anyone would think he was a Premiership player, with a very bright future ahead of him. Good ol Gus.

Names alone mean nothing. Quality at home vs Ipswich = kept his place. Poor vs Donny = dropped

But Gus isn't always consistent - that's my point. I can think of a few players who have had bad games, and sometimes more than one (no names mentioned), but have still been kept in the starting 11. It seems harsh on Razak to have dropped him after one poor game. But for the life of me, I don't know why KLL doesn't play more either. He oozes class and his sheer presence worries other sides. I guess even Gus has his favourites.

Razak has enormous potential, whereas Navarro has a great deal of experience. No doubt Razak will go on to become a better player, but doesn't mean he is right now, although he is capable of brilliance do not underestimate the importance of experience.

I take your point and I am a fan of Navarro but most of his experience has been gained in League 1 rather than the Championship. He is also sometimes rather too slow on the ball at least for my liking.

I'm fairly confident Gus is aware of exactly how quick or slow Navarro is. I'm also aware of how instrumental Navarro was in our unbeaten run.

He wont be the only one back tonight...Ive got a feeling Ankergren will be back tonight.Based on nothing apart from gut feeling and Cms will start with Vokes.Barnes dropped.

Disagree on Razak , agree on Lua Lua. He makes things happen evertime he plays . Maybe more so from the bench , perhaps this is Gus thinking. Guess when he is on the bench things happen during the game which makes it difficult to always put him on.

Quite right too. He said the same about Vicente a few weeks ago & if he's willing to fight for a place...

So i take it Gus will apply that same rule for Barnes and nav then. About time.

Nav and Barnes who have been two of our best and most consistent players through the long unbeaten streak?
