Probable third drink driving conviction, which would indicate that either he is an idiot or has a serious drink problem.
Whether a jail sentence is the solution is open to debate, although it would look as if by entering the Priory he is hopeful of avoiding jail. He obviously needs help to pull back from the alcohol abyss that many ex-footballers have fallen into.
I suspect views will be divided between those that find it sad that sporting heroes fall and those that take pleasure in seeing them in Court

Been Caught 3 times , so no doubt a habitual drink driver , absolute snake , lock the fker up .
Our prisons are full, we put away more people in this country than almost anywhere else. We need to be more creative about our punishments, something more community based.
Picking up rubbish next to the motorway or something similar along with a 5 year driving ban and the need to retake his test before being allowed behind the wheel. In fact everyone who has had their licence taken away should have to retake their test.

Oh come on, where's your charitable spirit? Surely we should let him have another chance, he didn't mean nothing by it, and he's not killed anyone yet. Now fair enough, if he kills a few children next time, then he should be told off quite strictly.
