Not sure if B&HCC still provide the service but I used Worthing Council last year when we had a couple of rats. Really good and only about £35 for three visits.

They feed off shit and live in squalor, perhaps look closer to home.

They (presumably different rats) arrived in our garden before the weekend. A full family of parents and children that I have the feeling might have been around longer than we'd noticed them. At one point there were 8 of them running around last Friday.

My wife's preference for bird-tables, seed etc. has been shown up to be a bit excessive. Now all the food has been removed, as has our neighbours bird-food. On the plus side, several neighbourhood cats have shown a lot more interest in the garden than normal, and since then I've only seen a couple of rats.

I'm hoping they will move on (I think some already have), but we have some people arriving this week to assess in case they have not.

Have you got bird feeders in the garden?
That is often the case, there are too many people who believe they have to feed the poor birds with 3 tons of birds seed everyday, they need to weigh up the pros and cons.

Where there is food there are rats.
