Rasmusson Tour De France!!

Mine was during the times of the irish superstars Stephen Roche and Sean Kelly ( correct me on the names if I am wrong. Both were awesome and Kelly won the green jersey 4 times I believe and of course Roche won the yellow jersey in 87 or 88. My other favourites were Laurent Jalabert although I have not got a clue why as I hate the french and the superstar sprinter Djamolodean Abdujaparov ( who knows how to spell it ). The speed that bloke had in the sprints was awesome. I remember watching him clip a post and fly across the road during one run in and it was really surprising he did not actually die the speed he came off.

Probably Millar for me too, he won King Of The Mountains in 84' wasn't it?Apart from being the best and most noticeable jersey,the KotM was always the most awe inspiring title so he and greg Lemond were the first that got me hooked.

I'll never forget Claudio Chiappucci staying an hour clear of the peloton over 6 alps sometime in the 90s, after breaking away after about a mile.
And I'll never forget the commentators high-pitched scream"Oh my God,it's Stephen Roche!!" as Roche appeared out of the fog,doubled over in the saddle,eyes glazed, at the top of an Alp in 89' to save the yellow jersey from Indurain's predecessor. (his and the commentators names escape me right now annoyingly,but both v famous)(his drug shame was covered up by the Spanish Govt in the middle of the tour)

Oh yes I remember the foggy one well, just not enough to tell you the names, of the others, sorry.

I try to have a name to follow each year, since Bo Hamburger won a stage.
